Today I wanted to provide an update on Mandalas for Marinke and remind you that there’s an upcoming deadline! All of your mandalas should be postmarked by October 15, 2015.
Month: September 2015
This superb crochet mandala is made using Wink’s I Love Holland mandala crochet pattern. Maker Michaelle says: “My prayers for her and her loved ones are stitched into a piece of her art. May it give comfort and raise awareness.”
I love all of the crochet mandalas that come in for this project. Sometimes I think I like the thread mandalas best. Sometimes I like the floral ones. But today looking at this one I think maybe I like the rainbow crochet mandalas best. This one is worked with rainbow colors, from outside to inside.
This crochet mandala reminds me of watermelon but also of flowers in the grass. Beautiful!
These beautiful crochet mandalas were contributed anonymously by someone really special. The blue-edged one is a crochet pattern by RedAgape and the red-edged one is a crochet pattern designed by Spincushions.
This crochet mandala reminds me of all things yummy – strawberries and raspberries and oranges, cotton candy and Starburst, marshmallows and grapefruit.
This crochet mandala alternates colors of sunny golden yellow, bright bold blue and the kind of leaf-green shade that Wink liked.
This amazing contribution comes from Athena in Sydney, Australia of Lilliputi Crochet and Design. She writes: “I’m a woman, a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter, a mental health peer support worker, an author and a friend. I also live with depression and anxiety, and my life is more brilliant by this diagnosis. I am passionate about mental health, writing, crochet and showing people that it is okay to not be okay.
Here’s another beautiful spoke crochet mandala. I love the way that the pink colors look like flowers in a field of green grass!
My very favorite thing about this terrific crochet mandala is the set of three flower buttons set slightly off center! Adore this touch.
