Mandalas for Marinke is a collaborative crochet art project launched after the 2015 death by suicide of crochet designer Marinke Slump. This site is a collection of all of the posts that were created (originally on Crochet Concupiscence) with the mandalas contributors crocheted, the stories they shared, and information to raise awareness about depression and suicide.
Note that this website is currently under construction, to be fleshed out in the months to come. Currently, photos are only visible on individual posts. (So if you click on the archive for a particular month, you’ll see a list of posts for that month but without images. When you click on an individual post, you see all of its images. Fixing this is a priority.) Updates to the site will also include more organization through unique categories and post themes, information about art shows related to the project and more.
