Beautiful Crochet Mandala

Corine's Crochet Contribution to Mandalas for Marinke

I love the way that the purple rounds of this crochet mandala pop out without overtaking any of the other rounds. There’s also a center pink round that has sparkle in it. I know Wink would love that.

Meet the Maker

Corine's Crochet Contribution to MandalasforMarinke

This enchanting contribution comes from Corine of CorineCreative who writes:

Marinke, Crochet saved my life, too. It is such a shame you didn’t see a way out. I hope you have now finally found the light.”

Corine blogs at The Little Farmhouse, where she shares:

“I live in The Netherlands in a 200 hundred year old -former- little farm, at no. 24, with my partner and two cats. In my spare time I enjoy crocheting, decorating, writing, a bit of sewing, reading, gardening and horse backriding. I am an absolute Anglophile and very fond of the British Country lifestyle.”

Words by Wink

Corine's Crochet Mandalas for Marinke

Wink kept trying to get her wellness back and sometimes she succeeded at having good days. Earlier this year posted on Instagram:

The weather outside is awful, so I’m gonna stay inside and pretend it’s nearly Summer! 😉 My mojo is slowly coming back and today is going to be a wonderfully productive & creative day, I can feel it!”

About Depression

Mandalas for Marinke by Corine

One purpose of this project is to raise awareness about depression so each post ends with some facts, thoughts or quotes about depression, suicide and/or mental health. Today, October 8, 2015, is the 25th annual National Depression Screening Day, which is “is dedicated to raising awareness and screening people for depression and related mood and anxiety disorders.” This is America’s “oldest voluntary, community-based screening program that gives access to validated screening questionnaires and provides referral information for treatment.” Visit HelpYourselfHelpOthers to find a local (USA and Canada) depression screening center or take a general screening online.

All contributions to Mandalas for Marinke are so appreciated. They help raise awareness about depression while honoring her work in the same way that this great contribution has done today.
