These two beautiful crochet mandalas were contributed together by Kerrie Bullock and Kara Mosson, who both live in Napier, New Zealand.
Kerrie created the blue-edged crochet mandala that has the yellow floral center. Kara’s is the pink-edged crochet mandala that sparkles with springtime colors.
Their note says,
“We were both inspired by Wink’s work and were very sad to hear her sad news. We love crochet.”
Here’s a quote about depression that resonated with me:
“Sometimes it’s heavy… like you’re carrying an elephant. Sometimes it’s dark… you wonder if you’ll ever see light. Sometimes it’s bleak… you wonder if you’ll make it through. And some days there are no words to describe it.”
The quote comes from Tonia Funk Brassell and was included included in an article on The Mighty titled “These 25 Quotes Prove Depression Is More Than Sadness”.
This post is part of the Mandalas for Marinke remembrance project.
