Here you’ll find links to all of the contributions from the Mandalas for Marinke project posted in June. It was my goal to get all contributions photographed and posted by this time, one year after the sad news of Marinke’s death. I succeeded in getting them all photographed and loaded into the blog but am still organizing the actual posts. Therefore, the project is continuing into July.
July’s posts will include photos of each mandala and anything that the contributor shared in his / her letter. All remaining mandalas that have not been posted to date will be posted in July. That will wrap up that portion of the depression awareness aspect of the project. Then it will be time to move on to Phase 2. This is a combo of creating an art book and putting together an art show. I have the bones of the art book ready and am excited to further develop that over the next couple of months.
The art show is proving to be difficult. It is my ideal dream to keep all of the mandalas intact as a set for a show in one space. Finding a large enough space that isn’t astronomical in price here in San Francisco is difficult. But I keep putting feelers out there and I just know that the right thing is going to come along and when it does, it will be exactly the right time and place. So I’m moving forward step by step. And then eventually I’m hoping to do smaller installations of groups of the mandalas at displays around the world. But that’s another phase. Back to June:

I haven’t found an option for that but I’ll post as soon as I have info!
Beautiful, just like Marinke. Thanks for all the work you’ve done to organize this, Kathryn.
