Lilian's Crochet Mandala

This contribution to Mandalas for Marinke comes from Lilian of Berry Bakewell says on Instagram, “I like making things with fabric, yarn and paper.” On her blog, she elaborates, “I make natural lip balm by day as Fairfield Gardens. I sew, crochet and embroider in the small pockets of my “spare” time. Inspired by Nature and colour. Happiest when making something.” She writes,

“It’s wonderful that you’ve taken such a tragedy and are trying to create something positive from it. I wasn’t a regular follower of Wink, but I knew of her and always liked her mandala designs. It is so sad that she brought so much pleasure and joy to people but couldn’t find any for herself. I can’t imagine what her family and friends are going through, but I hope that the outpouring of genuine feeling and the celebration of Wink on social media will bring them some solace. Through her patterns, Wink’s colorful spirit lives on.”

  1. I was wondering where I could get this pattern. I came across this today and can definitely agree how crochet can be an outlet. 🙂
