A contribution to Mandalas for Marinke from Nat. Beautiful work!
Month: July 2016
It is such a delight to have so many little mini mandalas for the Mandalas for Marinke project. Mandalas that can be given to those who need some inspiration! These mini mandalas are from Deborah.
Ruth Sandra Sperling, who blogs at RSS Designs in Fiber (and can be found @rssdesignsfiber on Pinterest / @rssdesigns on Twitter), contributed two beautiful crochet mandalas to the Mandalas for Marinke project along with a fabulous rainbow mandala crochet hat.
This contribution to the Mandalas for Marinke remembrance project comes from Juanita who writes, “To all my fellow depression sufferers; please keep fighting. When you feel low and without color, I implore you – Ask for help. You are loved.”
This contribution to Mandalas for Marinke comes from Lilian of Berry Bakewell says on Instagram, “I like making things with fabric, yarn and paper.” On her blog, she elaborates, “I make natural lip balm by day as Fairfield Gardens. I sew, crochet and embroider in the small pockets of my “spare” time. Inspired by Nature and colour. Happiest when making something.”
This contribution comes from Laura in Oklahoma, a crocheter for 40+ years who explains that the center motif of the mandala is from the Treva G. McCain Tuscan Throw, the next four rows are Laura’s own, and the remainder of the rows are from Wink’s Crochet Mandala for your Home.
This contribution to Mandalas for Marinke comes from Esmeralda, who says, “I am a mom of 2, a wife of 1, and a fiber artist. I’ve been crocheting for 15+ years and I love it.”
I’ve come across two contributions that I photographed and then managed to misplace the names of their owners. Huge apologies and hope that we can correct this!
This contribution to the Mandalas for Marinke remembrance project comes to us from Toni. There are four Mandalas, two medium size colour variations of Marinke’s patterns and two larger ‘Star Flower Mandalas’ using the pattern by Zooty Owl.
Jennie writes, “I knew I had to contribute to this project. To help shine the light that Wink and others like her have given us so we can eliminate those dark corners as much as possible. “
