Today’s crochet mandala for the Mandalas for Marinke project is a special contribution from Stephanie Davies, a friend of Wink’s who was deeply affected by her loss.

“I found I was compelled to participate in this Mandalas For Marinke project. I immediately had to choose one of her beautiful mandalas to work on and send along. I have also created my own version of her fat bottom bag, and I use it as a yarn bag for smaller projects.”
This beautiful, soft, floral crochet mandala comes from 80-year-old Jeanette Dunham who has lived in Bloomington, MN for the past 50 years.
Joanne Carpenter Katz, a 70-year-old crafter from Bowling Green, Ohio, created her own design for this crochet mandala.
Today we have a set of three matching crochet mandalas – all the same design, all worked in red and pink, but each with slightly different color changes. I love the combination!
“I was touched and very saddened to hear about Wink’s passing, even though I had not been to her site before. It was very touching to see her beautiful face, and to think about how hard it must be for her family.”
This smashing crochet mandala is worked in more than half a dozen colors and reminds me of the most glorious flowers in the world. It comes from Andrea, who you’ll find on both Ravelry and Instagram under the name @anfloclay.
This is a charming pink, white and red thread crochet spoke mandala made by Carolien Huysmans of Coupe-Woolly.
These five blue and purple mandalas (my own favorite colors) come from Stephanie in Ohio who writes that she made them in the colors that she loves.
I love these small thread crochet mandalas by Sarah Bradley who was inspired by the bluebonnet flower when selecting their color and design. I adore how the three colors – creamy white, light blue and dark blue – are worked in different orders to create different impacts on each individual mandala in the set.
