This crochet mandala is made using Wink’s free crochet mandala pattern for the standard 12-round mandala. It’s worked in terrific colors of teal, orange, yellow, green and white. I love this five-color combo that has no specific pattern repeat.
I think what I love most about the crochet mandala is that the design looks good in any color, whether you work it in a single solid color like we see here or in an array of different colors. There’s just something mesmerizing about the circular shape. This one, in bold pink, makes me smile.
This pretty crochet mandala is made using a variety of different shades of blue. There is a mixture of dark blue and light blue, with a few shades that are teal or blue-green. I love the way it’s worked in the same color family and yet looks very colorful because of the different shades in the work.

And the really special thing about this one is the beautiful pink crochet snowflake added atop it. It creates dimension, texture and stunning beauty.
This magnificent crochet mandala is made using Wink’s crochet pattern for the spoke mandala, arguably one of the favorites of her crochet patterns. It’s made using shades of red, purple and blue. I love the strategic placement of the white in the shells near the border; they add a pop that appeals to me.
My regular featured crochet Instagram posts will resume next week but I wanted to dedicate this week to honoring Wink of A Creative Being who died from suicide last week. It is a huge loss for the crochet community world and the world as a whole and it has impacted many people deeply.
I had planned to resume my Link Love posts this week but to be honest the only blogs I’ve been reading this week are related to Wink of A Creative Being. As you may have seen, I posted earlier this week about the shock and fear I experienced when learning about her suicide. Then I launched #MandalasForMarinke in the hopes that we can generate some positivity out of this tragedy, support each other in a creative way, honor her amazing work, raise awareness about depression and create an outlet for the many feelings that crafters who knew her online are experiencing. So this week I’ll share links to her crochet mandala patterns in place of the usual Link Love.
