Juliet's Crochet Mandala … Be Kind!

juliet crochet mandalasformarinke

This contribution to Mandalas for Marinke comes from Juliet, who writes:

“Wink’s work came across my newsfeed on Facebook. I love her use of color and creative designs. I began saving her patterns to my favorites. I began to look at color differently. I started buying bright colorful yarn that I normally would pass over. A couple of weeks later, she passed. It hit me harder than I expected. I was glad to know that a crochet project was started in her memory. Because of those that battle depression in my life, I decided to contribute to the project.

I chose two different designs. One is a solid mandala. It is in honor of those in my life that fight every day to keep it together, including myself. The second is more of an openwork design. It is in memory of those in my life that have left this world. They have left so many questions and holes unanswered.

As we go throughout out day, we have to remember to be kind to each other. There are a couple of quotes that I wish to share, authors unknown:

juliet crochet mandala 6

“The funny thing is, nobody even really knows how much anybody else is hurting. We could be standing next to somebody who is completely broken and we wouldn’t even know it.”

juliet crochet mandala 5

“When your beautiful heart stopped beating, my heart just broke in two knowing that here on earth, there will never be another like you.”

We are all just trying to get through this life together so be kind.
