This is a dynamic, colorful version of the I Love Holland crochet mandala pattern by Marinke. I love the vivid brightness of the many colors, and the repeat of the bright yellows and comforting soft purples.

This contribution to the Mandalas for Marinke project consists of two beautiful, unique, crochet mandalas. There’s an undulating rainbow spiral and a soft, welcoming green spoke mandala.
I love the color combination on this pretty crochet mandala, which reminds me of the flowers in the card that accompanied the contribution. The golden yellow center hints at a flower. The two rounds of white really make the brighter colors pop. And the dark border adds an intensity that makes the rest of the work seem less fragile somehow, emanating, instead a strength. Beautiful.
Sarah (Stitchhikers) shares a beautiful contribution to Mandalas for Marinke, along with thoughts about depression, creativity, fibromyalgia and crafting to heal.
This luminous crochet mandala is worked in yellow, orange, white and red to resemble the beauty and brightness of the sun. I love the inspiration, the design and the color combination. Brilliant and beautiful!
This is the spoke crochet mandala pattern by Wink. Maker Sam of PrincessandtheBear shared: “When I chose my mandala pattern I thought, “ooh, it looks easy”, and it was – but I still learned a new way of starting a row, a wonderful way of finishing a row (which I will always use) and a Tunisian crochet stitch. Even though she’s not here anymore, Wink still inspires and teaches.”
This crochet spoke mandala for the Mandalas for Marinke project was made by Sabina who runs the collaborative crochet healing art project called CrochetPower.net. Learn more about Sabina, her story and art, and agoraphobia in depression awareness from today’s post.
Lynne made two beautiful crochet mandalas, one using the standard 12-round free crochet mandala pattern by Wink and one using her own crochet pattern. The standard mandala incorporates shades of blue and purple as well as pink, red and orange, for a colorful fruit salad of beauty. Her own mandala is a floral design with beautiful bright greens throughout.
This lovely crochet mandala is a thread crochet version of Wink’s standard 12-round free crochet mandala pattern. The maker used a 3.5 mm crochet hook and a combination of two different types of cotton crochet thread. She adapted the crochet pattern “with some surface crochet and a different edge” to give it a more floral design.
This crochet mandala is made using Wink’s free crochet mandala pattern for the standard 12-round mandala. It’s worked in terrific colors of teal, orange, yellow, green and white. I love this five-color combo that has no specific pattern repeat.
